Chad and Ariana's Wedding

My friends' daughter Ariana, was getting married on the 31st of May, and they asked if I would take pictures of the ceremony and reception. Though I've never taken wedding pictures before, I agreed. Here are a few of the pictures from the wedding. In shooting these pictures, I realized the shortcomings of my camera and have developed a greater appreciation for those who shoot weddings on an ongoing basis.

Great job on the photos , as usual (and on your previous post, too)! I hear you about the camera shortcomings. The point-and-shoots just don't have the features of an SLR. I got a new camera about six weeks ago as my old one died - it's a Canon Powershot G-9, like my brother's and so far I really like it. It's still a point-and-shoot but has a few SLR-like features like RAW shooting capability and a hot-shoe for an external flash, which would come in handy for events (if I had one - maybe later). :) Anyway, I think you did a great job with the camera you had and I would imagine the family is very happy with the results!
