V-Dubbin'

One of the joys in life that I discovered after moving from Alaska, was that of me, my car, and the open road. During the last few years, I have been blessed with the chance to drive my car through 36 of the 50 states. While Hawaii seems out of the question, the others may one day be host to a crazy Alaskan and his '98 V-Dub!

The red states are ones I have driven through,
The yellow ones are yet to be explored!

That is really cool Derek!! I have good memories as a little girl of traveling in the back of my parents car during the days when my Dad was "on the road". I think we went through the majority of the states too.

That's a great idea for a picture! How did you make the map with the different colors? You know, if you worked for AK Airlines you could fly to Chicago, and rent a bug to hit some of the farther away states! I suppose it wouldn't be the same without your own trusty car!

I see you haven't made it to Kansas yet. Lots of wide open spaces to be explored. We have a nice lake over here, complete with pelicans and wild turkeys, Kansas State and University of Kansas not far away, big military base and even people you know. We would even feed you dinner
