The 200th Post!

This post is the 200th since starting this blog.
It is subtitled "Presidents' Day Weekend - 9"

After leaving another "disappointed" sunset viewing, we retraced our steps to a small restaurant called Kelly's. It is owned by an actress, Kelly Somebody-or other, whose name I have since lost in the recesses of the gray-matter I habitually call a brain! The important point of this restaurant to me was the fact that it was the original office of Pan American Airways.

The sign that says it all!

The menu

Kelly's resides in a nondescript building, virually indistinguishable from the others, apart from the sign and the menu.

We dined in an upstairs room...and the food was excellent!

While propeller fans may have been more appropriate, these "carved" fan blades and the wooden beams provided an interesting aerial backdrop

Tucked away in a small corner, these faded photos portray the aircraft and the airline that started in this little building

Appropriate memoribalia

Very interesting, but the display was "appropriate"? Where is the Goose Pic?! Not totally appropriate...

I like those fans. How do you know it's your 200th post? Did you count or does it say somewhere in your blog?

Well, I didn't say it was to my satisfaction, but at least they had a couple pics of Sikorskys.
