More From Stonewall
Here is another quote from Stonewall Jackson that I found both thought provoking and true. It was given in regard to a conversation he had with one of his captains. The captain had asked him why he was so brave in battle.
"Captain, my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me."

I wanted to make a comment on the Stonewall quote. The thought struck me when I read it, that God has as much a purpose (will) in our death as He does in our lives. God has fixed a time when He will take us home. No man can change that...no assassin's bullet, no vehicle accident, no terminal disease. Praise God!
