How do you know? Is that of saved pictures or including deleted ones? Or do you never delete? Not that I'm skeptical or anything, I'm just wondering how I can see how many we've taken.
Each photo from my camera is numbered sequentially. The first photo was DSC0001.JPG. (In my case, the DSC stands for Digital Sony Camera or something like that.) When the counter gets up to 9,999, it wraps back to 1 again. So, my 10,000th picture would be the second DSC0001.JPG. That it is the 10,000th and not the 1st, I can verify by the date the picture was taken.

I guess ours has that too, but when we start a new file the count starts over. I guess I'll just have to count them all myself!
